DAY 2: LOCAL COUNTDOWN 2030

The 2030 Agendas have transformed our approach to development, prioritizing participation, inclusion, and equality. Yet, despite advancements in digitalization, data management and engagement, trust in local democracy is waning. Slow progress on the SDGs and climate goals demands urgent action that ensures a fair balance of power, including intergenerational justice. Beyond 2030, we must continue to support local innovation and ensure diverse leadership

As the countdown to 2030 accelerates, local governments are at the spotlight. While global agendas serve as a guiding and reporting framework, sustainable development is not following a fixed formula. On day 2 , after a short keynote and consultation, we will explore inspiring partnerships, such as the Youth Climate Action Fund, that are driving sustainable development and leadership, and other approaches before looking into the achievements and next steps of the organization on the agenda 2030.
