This segment will delve into the trends and needs that the local life will be facing in the next few years, and how global policymaking and global geopolitical context are shaping trends for our societies: exploring the type of challenges, and the type of development and solutions that global policymaking can bring, will underpin a conversation structured around the concept of “Universal Justice for Development”. This conversation is intrinsically linked to a double parameter: the thresholds that the 2030 Agenda faced in its implementation, and the effects that Climate related challenges are having on local life. Finding the parameters to re-inspiring hope and trust will be key assets to delve into this exploration.

The session will also highlight the necessity of establishing monitoring systems to nurture the local decision-making through a dual lens: harnessing AI and technology for robust data insights while generating complementarity with local knowledge through lived experiences at the local level to co-create a holistic understanding of progress.
