Local Economic Development requires robust fiscal strategies to attract investments and ensure critical infrastructure and services. Despite contributing 39% of global investments, local governments face barriers like limited access to tailored financing and exclusion from financial governance. This session will focus on reshaping financing mechanisms, and enhancing public-private partnerships. It aims to discuss innovative models, fiscal decentralization, and access to global funding for sustainable LED in the run up to the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development to take place in Seville on 30 June-3 July 2025.
