🟣 Economic and territorial strategies to create opportunities in intermediary cities

The session will address the key role of intermediary cities and their economic opportunities, as well as the challenges they face with regard to economic diversification, employment, and governance. Strategies to enhance their sustainable development will be explored, promoting innovation, infrastructure and services, as well as strengthening cooperation and multilevel governance. The session aims to share good practices, foster dialogue between key actors and analyze the impact of new opportunities such as digitalization, technology, green employment and AI in integrated territorial planning. It is expected that concrete proposals will be generated based on the declarations and mandates of the UCLG Forum on Intermediary Cities.
