Launch of the update process of the UCLG Global Charter-Agenda for Human Rights in the City
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of UCLG’s adoption of the Global Charter-Agenda for Human Rights in the City link, leading members in the Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights link are launching an update process of this key roadmap for human rights global promotion from a local government perspective.
This update process is set to culminate with the adoption of a renewed global vision by local governments on human rights, built after the contribution of all interested local governments and related stakeholders. The outcomes of this process are expected to play a key role in defining UCLG’s social agenda for the coming years, enshrined in its forthcoming Pact for the Future.
