First live consultation on the Charter-Agenda update process held within the WHRCF Forum

This important event was held on October 6, 2021 by the UCLG-CSIPDHR and the UCLG ASPAC section in the context of the World Human Rights Cities Forum (WHRCF). It aimed at bringing Asia Pacific perspectives to the update process of the Global Charter-Agenda for Human Rights in the City.

Accordingly, it gathered local governments and urban stakeholders in the Asia Pacific region to collectively reflect on local challenges, innovations and priorities on human rights at the local level key for the regional agenda.

Participant local governments included: Gwangju, Dobong-gu and Daejeon (South Korea), Semarang (Indonesia), Baguio (The Philippines) and Utrecht (The Netherlands). Participant partners included: the OHCHR Asia Pacific branch, the Offfice of the Indonesia's President, World Enabled, Kota Kita, the Global Platform for the Right to the City and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute.
